System requirements.

Raspberry Pi

  • Raspberry Pi 4 or Raspberry Pi 5.
  • Raspberry Pi OS Lite 64-bit is recommended.
  • A compatible USB DAC visible to ALSA.
  • Stable power and a network connection.
  • Wired Ethernet is recommended where practical.

Debian PC

  • A compatible 64-bit Intel or AMD Debian system.
  • NUC-class and similar dedicated players are supported.
  • A compatible USB DAC visible to ALSA.
  • A phone, tablet or browser on the same local network.
  • SROVA uses local web-control port 8081.

SROVA 2.0

  • Qobuz: Qobuz joins SROVA as SOURCE 03, with account access, catalogue browsing, search and Hi-Res playback through SROVA.
  • Spotify Connect: SROVA can now appear as a Spotify Connect playback device and route playback through the selected SROVA audio output.
  • Provider Radio: Qobuz Artist, Track and Album Radio join TIDAL Start Radio for provider-aware radio playback.
  • Infinite Play and Auto-Mix: new Same Artist, Similar Artist and Surprise Me listening modes, plus Essential, Balanced and Deep Auto-Mix generation when Last.fm is configured.
  • Go To Album: album navigation is provider-aware across TIDAL and Qobuz, with a chooser when the same release is available from both.
  • DAC startup: fresh-install DAC selection and saved-DAC startup recovery are more resilient, including improved USB DAC enumeration.
  • Playback and interface polish: Internet Radio now uses Stop with immediate queue cleanup; Global Search returns correctly after Settings; TIDAL and Qobuz playlist loading and artwork transitions are smoother.
  • Offline handling: online sources now show a clear offline state while Local Music remains available.

Already installed SROVA from a downloaded .deb? Add the repository normally. APT will recognise your current installation and manage future upgrades without reinstalling SROVA.

Direct AMD64 and ARM64 package downloads remain available above for offline installation, testing and troubleshooting.

Installation

Direct package installation.

Use this method when you prefer a direct .deb download or need to install without adding the SROVA repository. Download the package for your player, then run the matching command from your Downloads folder.

Verification

Check your download.

Compare the SHA256 result for your package with the published value, or open the complete checksum file.

After installation

Open your SROVA player.

Confirm that the service is running, find the player’s local IP address, then open SROVA from another device on the same network.
